About Us
JamaicanMissingPersons.org was founded and
developed in April 2006 by Loss Control Associates. Its main purpose is to provide a FREE
resource to the families and friends of persons missing in Jamaica
to help in getting information including photographs about their
missing loved ones out to the widest possible community in the
shortest possible time.
The Missing section lists information
on persons missing which has been submitted to us.
The I Am Missing
section allows individuals who have gone missing on
purpose to send an anonymous message to their family and
friends advising that they are alive and well.
It is well known
that in missing person cases, the first 48 hours are the most
critical and information obtained quickly can assist the Law
Enforcement Team in locating missing persons. This site is designed
to assist in exactly that way.
This site provides
not only the means to FREELY post information about missing persons,
but also features a 'real-time' Chat Room, a Support Forum
where families can get support in their time of distress and discuss
issues and concerns.
The Reunite
section allows people wishing to reunite with 'Lost Connections',
whether they be family, old friends or former acquaintances, to
post messages for anyone knowing any of those being sought.
This site
features links to a number of useful Jamaican Websites and also
features links to various International Missing Persons Websites.
Unfortunately within Jamaica no other Missing Persons Website exists
as yet. The first and only is
www.jamaicanmissingpersons.org.
The only other
missing persons website existing in the Caribbean is in Belize which
commenced operations one week after JamaicanMissingPersons.org
